Such a fun little comedy story! Well done Ferdinand! I think you have really improved each week and its okay if you ran out of time! Congratulations on completing the program!

I loved the visuals and the amount of detail and texture you put into your reel. I can see so clearly how this would turn into a fully animated piece. The part where the guy at the fire turns around with the mask is my favourite part as it’s surprising and funny, especially with the way the other runs away. Your compositions, designs and expressions/acting is clear, comedic and entertaining.

Personally, I’d like to know the characters better in order to feel more connected to your story: who was the guy by the fire, is he alone, who is the guy sneaking around the woods? How did they both get to this point?

Also, I don’t understand the starting point with the owls/creatures in the trees. Are they connected to the story? It seems like its the beginning of the story or an example of an action undertaken by either of the characters in a sort of flash back sequence. I think an idea of where the story goes would be helpful, even a sketch to better contextualise. It would be really cool is if this is the start of your story, you could intwine their pasts with what happens next in on screen clues or flaskbacks etc.

I feel like this would be a great piece within a larger story that maybe you know more about. I’d love to see how this develops and how you approach developing your characters. Well done!
