I am so glad that you decided to present your story reel in such a unique way. The book pitching idea really compliments the type of narrative you are aiming to create, which is quite impressive. Not only is your art style so fantastical, but the politics and relations between the kingdoms are fascinating. I would love to read this type of book one day! Congratulations on all the hard work and I hope to follow your creative endeavors in the future.

I absolutely adore the format of this storyboard reel! I feel like a child flipping through a story book, unraveling a story before my eyes page by page. The music complemented the arcs of the story nicely and added to magic. You did an amazing job on the world painting and it has me itching for more! Please post updates cause I would love to see where this project goes!

To be completely honest:
AAAAAHHHHH!!!! THIS WAS SO CUTE! It has of the best plots to be a great story; warring kingdoms, adventure, star crossed lovers, and finally character growth through friendship. It gives me "The Princess Bride" vibes which makes it even better! I would totally fangirl over this if it became a movie or a series. :)

Wow! I love your character designs and compositions! Great story and I can see using that technique we learned from lectures to beat your character up more so the audience can connect with them. II like the music, the pronunciation of your words, timing and overall great story! See you at PIXAR one day!

Hey there! I thought your drawings have a lot of charm. I'd love to see more of them when Fertery tried to enlist the Winter Prince's help, and also more in the steps of the journey they take until they reached the princess.
I'm wondering what the political dynamics is like at the Winter Kingdom. The advisor is plotting everything, but what about the prince and king there? Obviously the prince is against this, but what of the king? I'm just curious of there is some kind of civil dispute/war happening in the background as well. That might be an interested worldbuilding detail, but also to help answer some questions as to who is on who's side.
I'm also confused what differences Fert and the Winter Prince had and what they did exactly to put aside their differences.
Overall, I enjoyed your work a lot, and I hope your pitch will be successful! Good luck!

Hi Victoria, I loved watching your story grow and evolve these past 8 weeks, you've done such a wonderful job with showing each story beat with your beautiful artwork, and each step in the story is very clear and impactful--Your characters are so charming and the conflict is really engaging, the royal advisor for the winter court being the culprit was a nice twist here, that one guy that is just trying to spoil it for the two kingdoms!! Fert's struggle to find his inner bravery and his alliance with the prince is so adorable, I love how they both have to work together in this way, I can tell there would be shenanigans on Fert's part to annoy the prince or vice versa! The ending with Fert and the advisor was so funny, your story overall was super charming and fun!! And I absolutely can see this as a graphic novel/comic and children's book! I can't wait to see and follow where you go with your pitch!

Clean drawings, creative shots, engaging expressions, and a gripping story....I'm completely sold. You've somehow managed to fit what feels like a whole epic into the span of about 3 minutes without losing any of the emotional weight of the narrative. Crazy good job with this!

Love the added artwork--really love them. As world building goes your story has a great potential to be epic! As what Diederick mentioned and last time I brought up as well, I'd love to see this story from a point of view of Fertery, which you have all the elements. Well done otherwise!

Hey Victoria,
Congratulations on finishing your story! Despite it being in story structure form instead of a fully storyboarded story, I totally understand your situation that you’ve shared with us in the description.
I’m still blown away by the quality of your drawings! The composition, the line work, the character interactions… Amazing! You should really do something with that quality. These drawings also give me a good feeling of immersion of how the story could look like visually.
As for the story itself, I’ve seen a largely similar version last week. But despite that, you’ve managed to add quite some drawings that really clarified or added to specific moments of your story. That really helped! I still have some of the same questions that I had last week, I think your story works very well! You tell the story in a narrative way, which worked immersive for me. I got invested into the characters, especially Fertery.
One piece of general advice to give you for future versions, is to make sure that you tell the story from Fertery’s perspective throughout the whole story, so we can clearly identify him as a the protagonist from the beginning and empathise with him. Of course, we will then also empathise with the princess, but having clear from whose perspective we’re telling the story, is important for the audience to know.
After all, you’ve done a magnificent job by having a very interesting concept, told in an understandable and interesting narrative way of storytelling, with stellar illustrations!
I really hope that you’ve enjoyed the Xperiential program, and that you’ve learned the necessary things. Please let me know where I can follow you online, because I’m very curious how this story is going to work out and what you come up with next!

Yeah, I know what you mean, real life had me way busier than I expected for this Summer Break too. In any case, this would be an amazing idea for a story/comic/pitch-thingy. I felt you followed the Pixar Story Spine admirably. You drawings, or more like illustrations (cause they are so detailed and masterfully drawn) are superb. If you are looking in corgis and the small folk, might I suggest giving the short graphic novels "Korgi" by Christian Slade. I really think you would enjoy those. I am curious what sort of experience would turn the cowardly "Fert" into a brave enough dog to storm a castle. I felt your music selection was great, it paired well to your content/genre, but a moments it may have a been a little overbearing in some spots. If not something printed, than possibly a 'web comic' situation with the adventures of your fae folks and corgi mounts. It is a mighty cute idea. Thank you so much for having the courage to share you work with us, and I hope you have a great rest of your Summer as well.

I love your artwork so much! I think that even without any movement this pitch was just so impressive due to how much depth your story really has. This is amazing!

Hi Victoria!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and process, and thank you for the bold close-to-the-chest statements.
I'm happy to see likeminded people considering novelisation, as well. It's quite bold that you've actively attempting it :)
Now for the video!
Your setting is immediately clear! (That's quite difficult, as well, for fantasy related stories) Very cool setting and art, nice music, cool compositions.
Old grievances die hard. That makes it easy to increase the tension into war, right? Is the advisor the only one trying his hand? (I'm very curious about the different sorts of people and perspectives, related to the two kingdoms and their relationship - which you could really dive into in comic or novel form? :D also, "making more effort to get along after the scare" but in which ways and who might not or struggles to do so and and and oh and what is the Princess' perspective when she's captured, and what does she maybe learn of the advisor?)
At one point, I confused the Dog for the Winter Prince (woops on my part..)
oh no, Fert is scared... The shot at 1:35 is amazing.
What sort of differences do Fert and The Prince need to overcome? I'm not sure if that's been present already?
The shot at 2:09 is cool! I like especially how the advisor creeps into the shadow, while the duo is brave.
Shot 2:46 is immensely cute
Nice morale!
Very cool story, I'd really love to learn more :) Are you somewhere in the discord? If you'd like, I also like to talk more about the written story aspect

This could indeed work as a book very well! I mean, the illustrations are magnificent, and this narrative way of telling the story is very appealing. I'm very curious how Victoria is going to execute this story!

Very nice work, the art is excellent.
I would have liked to at least see a sequence of the story rather than the beats.

Hello Everyone -
I'm back! I added a few more things to the overall pitch for my story after all your super helpful comments (I wasn't able to work on much more, I know this really isn't much in terms of "Acts") but I'm at least pleased to present something that reads as more overall a pitch -- and "pitch" being a close-to-my-chest statement, after working on this idea through Story Xperiential I've grown to love it, and wish I could have given it more attention that I was able to, (life events notwithstanding). My fiancé and I have talked, and I've always wanted to get into comics and novels, and I've decided that this would be something I would really enjoy turning into something longer, readable. So maybe next you see this story, it may be online or on shelves for you to enjoy, full story!
Thanks everyone so much for following me close on this story and I'll see you around!
This is where the special thanks would go! I’m assuming they will be a little longer this week, therefore, I designed extra space for them. If there is far more description and special thanks then there is space, this entire box becomes scrollable.
Special Thanks:
