Hi Ana! I've been following your story for a couple of weeks now, so I'm really happy to see the final result!

I really admire that you tried to tell your story using purely visual elements, without any dialogue, especially in the first part. I encourage you to try to convert those small texts that you introduce in some frames into drawings that can transmit the same message. It will be a hard task, but I think it would improve your story a lot!
I also wanted to highlight the incredible use you have made of the different songs, I think they emphasize very well the feeling you want to convey. The transitions between them are very well done.

Your story hooked me from the beginning. I like that you mix deep feelings with adventures. I know you've done different versions of this story, so I really admire that you still managed to find the time to upload a full storyreel. You can be very proud of your work!

Right out of the gate, I second everyone else in that your music choices are absolutely beautiful!! Your pacing also feels very appropriate and keeps the viewer’s attention throughout the whole story. I love the different scenes you have portrayed and the views you show.

There were just a few instances where I had a difficult time following the storyline, with the majority being in the beginning. I found myself getting a bit lost and confused by which characters were which. But the clips with words were super helpful, filling in a good chunk of the plot later on, and the tone and general feeling of the short was well conveyed through the music.

I love reading that you plan to keep working on this short for the story is so original and I would love to see it come to life even more! Thank you so much for sharing it with us. Really great job developing and pulling all the aspects together.

I love your use of music to set the mood and advance the story. You have a nice variety of shot types and camera angles that do a great job advancing the story. Having said that, I had a hard time following the storyline due in great part to the lack of narration and dialogue. The music is powerful and I was engaged trying to figure it out. In the last part of the film there is more written text which was helpful. I am not sure if on the front end there wasn't as much written content or I missed it but this contributed to me not being able to grasp the story like I would I would have wanted to. Nevertheless I enjoyed your film in great part due to the music and your use of shots and action.

I absolutely loved your “tip-toeing” scene, and your use of negative space for your drawings. The text directions were helpful in identifying the environment in that moment. I find your drawing lines to be energetic and provide movement for the story being told. I do get lost at some points, because of the numerous zoomed in shots, and lose where I’m at in the story. Overall, your music helps to convey the mood of your story, and offers a sense of journey and wonderment of the main character to reach their destiny. Good luck with your creative pathway.
