First off burying oneself in pillows is the ultimate strategy for comfort! I love this story so much. You have dynamic action, amazing soundtrack and atmosphere to go with it. I enjoyed how Jerry progressed from his stages of fear to defeating the nightmare. I love love LOVE how the child was being overcome by the nightmare, like they were being possessed. Amazing work

Hi Nat! I saw an earlier submission or two and am so happy to see your final story! This is such a adorable story. The characters are established well with great expression and storyline is clear. I love that he overcomes his fears in order to protect the boy. You have great movement here as well. The nightmare music worked really well to establish the overall mood! Jerry is so cute, you can't help but love him:) you have a clean style and fit a great story in under 5 minutes, great job!!

Did this Teddy Bear just take all the kid's pillows?!? How many pillows does one kid need? Anyways, it is such a delightful animation filled with a lot of heart. Your story is well laid out and you have a wonderful sense of timing with animation. Now this may be towards your genius or by pure luck, but I suspect it was indeed purposeful how the timing of thunder with the action in the story was nice and subtle, yet powerful to offer a crescendo to your sparse music (which is not a bad thing, I think it leant it self rather nicely for being a "Bedtime Story". Your drawings were clear, the movement wasn't confusing at all. This really is a great job and a lot of work went in to it and it shows. Now, my recommendation is to maybe colorize the cape, have that color be meaningful in some way. It seemed like a bit of an afterthought how it was tossed away and then nothing else really happened to it, a slight sense of a motif, but nothing else more. In any case, this was a delight story and short film filled with whimsy and heart. Thank you so much for having the courage to share your work with us and making it to the very end. I hope you have a great rest of your summer and I hope to hear more of your future endeavors. You have a very delightful art style and if you could make a short story reel in such a short time, I am certain you could make a name for yourself. Best of luck to you and all that you do.
