Hi Monica, I appreciate your storytelling and use of color throughout all the panels. I think your narration and voiceover adds a lot of personality to the characters and brings their world to life. The textures used for the illustrations are detailed and add dimension to the panels like a woodcut picture.
I enjoyed the morale of the story and I think it's relatable since it can be easy to feel angry about being left out of situations. I think the introduction of the Spring elf to Evie the winter elf brings about a strong positive change in the story to create a sense of belonging for Evie. I like how you focused on Evie's sense of self and individualism and the sweater as part of his character.
I think your stylistic approach to Evie and the angles used provide a certain style that is different and I think you could work with some more camera angles as well as maybe add some movement to the characters with simple camera pans if possible.

Your character design is really great! Love the colors you've chosen for each of the seasons.
Your story is very well developed and evokes a lot of emotions. The need to fit in with your peers. The want to feel like part of the family. It hits a lot of very real emotions that are relatable for so many people. Great job!

Hello Monica!
Oh my gosh! I absolutely love your story. Your art is absolutely beautiful and I loved your narration for it brought a truly wonderful energy and tone to the story. Another aspect I loved was the thoughtfulness of the world you have developed, thinking through the different elves and wondering what it may be like for them to be associated with a season.
Along with the story and art, I really appreciated Evie’s character development for it was very well thought through, clear, and detailed. The only feedback I have was simply that I longed to watch more :) I would have loved to see Evie fully embrace who he is and how his new realization affects not only himself, but those around him, too. I loved how you had both his father and grandma to help round out his character and root him in his world.
Truly a wonderful story with so much heart and thought. Thank you so much for sharing Monica!!

I think your artwork is too cute for a children's book.

Hi Monica! I’m really happy to see your final submission! Since I reviewed your first act I was looking forward to a new submission from you, I’m glad to see that you’ve managed to submit the last one.
I completely love your art, it’s totally amazing! Also, the idea of assigning an elf to each season is fabulous. I like that Evie accepts that his differences do not have to exclude him from his community because he finds another person who is in the same situation.
I really like the world you have invented here, and I wonder how the seasonal elves are distributed over it. Is there an area for the winter elves and another different for the spring/summer/autumn elves? How can they travel between seasons?
Overall, this is an amazing piece, congratulations on finishing the Xperiential program!
