Black and white most definitely fits the aesthetic! Especially with the classic alien and spaceship design. I love how expressive Jelly's face is and seeing him struggle made me root for him and I was hoping for him to conquer everyone by the end lol. Super cute and extremely well done, fantastic work!

I loved watching your piece! I think the facial expressions are executed well and it really helps the comedic atmosphere of the film. (My favourite part was when the person gets attacked but just walks away as if nothing happened haha.) I think it’d be interesting to see Jelly’s dynamic with another character in the film instead of just random humans(?), but overall great job!

I truly laughed out loud and smiled while watching this. The art, of course, is incredible. The use of arrows helped give it more movement as well. Jelly is hilarious - and the representation of our current world and the people in it was SPOT ON. (Folks on their phones or otherwise immersed in their own lives without seeing ANYTHING else outside of themselves!) I relate to Jelly a lot. I think many of us can! "What do I have to do to get attention? SOMEONE LOOK AT ME."
Also, what a great ending. Jelly essentially says, "Screw this." And blows up the earth.
I really, truly enjoyed this.
One question - at the very beginning, when Jelly lands on earth and puts their hand on a round thing. Is that a ball? I wasn't sure what it was, and that's the only part I was confused about.

Hi! I don't know how I haven't come across this story before on the program, I love it!
I think your art is totally incredible, all your drawings transmit a lot of life, and you have a great ability to give your characters personality.
Adding music was one of the most difficult tasks for me, since it is very difficult to find a song that goes well with the story, and I don't even tell you if you have to combine several songs! That's why I understand your difficulty in adding audio to this story. Even so, I recommend that you explore this area a bit as I think you could really emphasize the moments of humor and drama by using different special effects.
Very good work and congratulations on finishing the Xperiential program!

You did a great job! Even without the audio I think the story is easy to understand. The way you executed the the comedy was excellent and I loved the expressions you gave the characters. I can only imagine with sound and audio this story would be even better but nonetheless great job!

Hi Team! Well done on completing your story and crossing that finish line! The story was very clear and easy to understand, and the world you established did a great job of helping express Jelly’s emotions. The quality of the illustrations was wonderful and the style was quite emotive, which helped convey the story nuances effectively. I really enjoyed your sense of humor and comedic timing. The cow scene got me to laugh and wonder, “well…I got the cow…..now what” LOL! While, an audio track could have helped, I’m really curious how this story could have benefited with that additional component? Well done on your work! I hope to see more from you in the future.

Happy you enjoyed it, I fully agree regarding audio tracks n SFX, wasnt a choice I made lightly but at the time Id rather have a story that works without sound then lil bits of sounds here n there, but i am adding sounds to the entire peice atm :)

I love it! What a lot of work. I would love to hear music and sound effects. I know we ran out of time, but if we can still post on Discord, I would love to see it finished. Your alien character is fantastic. The composition of camera angles is good and flows nicely. I know the PIXAR guy in one of our lectures said not to use arrows, but seem to work for some reason. He mentioned sometimes it's mistaken during the production flow and they add the arrows accidentally. You make a T-Shirt and I will wear it! Huboldt Squids rules!!!

lol thank you, thank you. I dunno pout making T-Shirts but i will defintley add sounds. I remember he talked about the arrows so I used them sparingly just clearly direct any snap movements that have less frames, its why i made them red :)

Hi!
I really love your story! It was so funny how no one takes him seriously. I think adding sound effects would enhance your story but even without it, I could understand your story well. I love the simplicity of it and all the comic bits. Great job!

The final pass of my story, I cut alot of the initially planned ending and adjusted Jellys personality to better fit its role in the story. I couldnt find any fitting sounds I envisioned but I think a silent Black and White fits its aesthetic.
This is where the special thanks would go! I’m assuming they will be a little longer this week, therefore, I designed extra space for them. If there is far more description and special thanks then there is space, this entire box becomes scrollable.
