Hey there, I had catched a few of your other submissions and the story you developed was really rich and full of turns! Would have loved to follow the characters along a little better by seeing them transition in shorter scenes (changing the scenes so fast made it a bit hard to follow along with the text, but reading made it possible)
All in all I really enjoyed how you used the immigrant story to create tension and make you care for the characters

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to follow many of your submissions, there are so many stories that it's hard to give feedback to all of them! Still, I really enjoyed commenting on your submission last week.
I think that something that stands out about your story is the type of art that you have used, since I have not seen it in any other of this type of program. You have opted for a different technique and the truth is that I think it has turned out very well for you, since you illustrate the text you write well.

Thanks Julieta. My son watches The Amazing World of Gumball and I really enjoy their wild, mixed - animation style [especially the episode 'The Extras']... I would've liked to experiment with that idea more. Thankfully, Story X emphasized earlier in the course that we can focus more on the story experience and make a rough draft story reel, instead of a polished animation show reel...

I do envision the polished version of this being an animatic of sorts with voice actors, like maybe in Dr. Katz. An animatic is what I did for my MFA thesis. I also envision perhaps the kind of rotoscoping you see in Waking Life or Undone.

True. That's something that dawned on me during this process - the thing about all the streaming and internet channels today is that we can create great content that doesn't have to try and please everyone or go mainstream.

It can be good and amazing for the community of people that are interested in finding it and sharing it with other like-minded ppl.

While I still have some of my questions and concerns about the story from the past few weeks, you've definitely improved it with every single submission and this is the best work yet!
